Day 1 : Dar es Salaam to Nyerere: Scenic Drive & Rufiji River Boat Safari
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Set out on a scenic 5-hour drive to Nyerere National Park, passing through rural landscapes and local villages. En route, enjoy a lunch stop to refresh before continuing your journey. Upon arrival at the park, check in to your lodge and get ready for an exciting boat safari on the Rufiji River. Glide through the calm waters as you spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife in their natural habitat. After the safari, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
Rise early for a full-day game drive through the vast landscapes of Nyerere National Park. With your expert guide leading the way, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including members of the Big Five—elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards, and more. Day 3: Cultural Experience – Maasai Village Visit & Departure

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
After an early breakfast, set off for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park—often called a “mini-Serengeti” for its wide, open plains and abundant wildlife. With your guide, explore the park’s diverse ecosystems and look out for elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park, then continue your exploration into the late afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Scenic Train Ride to Dar es Salaam
Start your final day with an early morning game drive in Mikumi National Park, making the most of the cool hours when wildlife is most active. Capture any last glimpses of the park’s incredible animals and landscapes. After the safari, you’ll be transferred to the train station for a scenic and relaxing journey back to Dar es Salaam.
