Day-to-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After meeting your safari guide in Arusha, begin your adventure with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and massive elephant herds. Spend the afternoon on a game drive along the Tarangire River, where elephants, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests gather. Look out for the fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk, two of Tanzania’s more elusive antelope species.
Your 4×4 safari vehicle is equipped with a pop-up roof, perfect for unobstructed wildlife viewing and photography.
DAY 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park – Through Ngorongoro Highlands
Leave Tarangire behind and journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing scenic villages and lush landscapes. By early afternoon, you’ll reach the vast plains of Serengeti National Park.
This region is one of the top places to see the Big Five in Africa and is world-famous for the Great Migration. Your exact camp location (central, north, or south Serengeti) will be chosen based on the migration’s current position to maximize your wildlife encounters.
Day 3–5: Full Safari Experience in Serengeti National Park—Follow the Migration
Spend the next three days exploring different regions of the Serengeti ecosystem. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives with plenty of time to track the migration, spot predators like lions and cheetahs, and observe herds of elephants, giraffes, and hippos.
The Serengeti’s terrain ranges from wide-open grasslands in the south to woodlands and hills in the north. You’ll learn about animal behavior, predator-prey interactions, and the ecological significance of this vast park.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater – Scenic Drive & Wildlife Viewing
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in the Seronera Valley, known for predator activity, especially during the dry season. Stop for a picnic lunch, then continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater rim by late afternoon.
Soak in your first view of the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most unique safari locations.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha
After a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, ascend and begin the return drive to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
