Day-to-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your journey begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, a town nestled at the base of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy lunch before embarking on a guided day hike into the lush Uluguru Range. Known for its waterfalls, green hills, and panoramic views, this hike offers both adventure and a refreshing connection with nature.

After the hike, you’ll check in at Sunset Lodge in Morogoro, a peaceful lodge with great views and a swimming pool. Dinner will be served at the lodge, and you’ll have time to relax and unwind after a day of travel and trekking.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will leave the hotel and drive through the Rift Valley to the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, is almost 20 km wide, approximately 600 m deep, and is known for its large variety of wildlife, including the “Big Five”—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Ranked as the 8th wonder of the world, Ngorongoro is the world’s largest unbroken caldera, often referred to as the Garden of Eden. A truly epic part of your honeymoon safari retreat in Tanzania.
In addition, there are various springs that attract animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, reed bucks, and more than 500 bird species. At the picnic site, you will have lunch before enjoying some more game viewing in the crater. You will leave the crater in the afternoon.

Activities in Ngorongoro include a visit to the Olduvai Gorge

Olduvai Gorge

The Olduvai Gorge Museum is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania on the edge of the Olduvai Gorge. A site in Tanzania that holds the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors. Paleontologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, guiding a conclusion that humans evolved in Africa. It is approximately 5 km from the main road to the Serengeti plains northwest of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife Mary are known as the first family of paleontology in East Africa after making a great achievement in the discovery of the skull of the first human being at Olduvai Gorge in 1959, which was 60 years ago today.

Day 3: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara – Arusha

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. In the afternoon we will arrange a unique way to end your honeymoon safari by providing a traditional local lunch at Manyara area in the midst of the long standing banana stems then we will drive and return to Arusha.
